Lady Gaga has been, by almost any measure, a remarkable few months. She won a Golden Globe Award (for his performance in American Horror Story: Hotel) in January, also generating one of the first moments of full viral right of the year when she passed by Leonardo DiCaprio on his way to receive your prize. She drew widespread praise for her performance of the national anthem at the Super Bowl. And then, a week later, again it was praised widely, this time at the Grammy for his tribute to the late David Bowie.
And now, tonight, she is nominated for her first Oscar for his original song, "Until it happens to you" (which he co-wrote with Diane Warren), the documentary The Outfitter, which explores rape on campus in the United States university
Gaga's performance was presented by Vice President Joe Biden, who spoke about the White House "It's on our own" campaign against sexual assault. Performance Gaga which is carried out with the force of a piano with all the functions of a group of survivors of sexual assault joining her on stage at the end, drawing a standing ovation (and tears) of the members of the audience. Earlier this week, Gaga expressed support for the pop star Kesha, who is currently involved in a legal battle with Sony.
