1. His best-known role of Brooklyn really hit home for her.
He starred in Brooklyn was almost like Saoirse's call in life. However, his life story was the reverse of the film. She was born in the Bronx Irish parents Monica and Paul Ronan and later raised in Ireland, in County Carlow, then Howth, County Dublin.
2. She came to light because of an Oscar-nominated film.
At the tender age of 12, Saoirse auditioned for a role in Atonement - a film that would change his life forever and make one of the most sought after young actresses in Hollywood. She was nominated for playing the role of Briony Tallis for Academy Award, BAFTA and a Golden Globe all in the category of best supporting actress.
3. If life was different, she might have been in a Harry Potter film.
When Saoirse was relatively unknown, with only a couple of television credits to his name on Irish television called the clinic and test auditioned to play the role of Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. However, she lost to Evanna Lynch in the end. Probably the best!
