The clip caused "concern for viewers who do not see or understand the whole context of the meeting," Chad Sandhas, a spokesman for National Geographic Channels, said in a statement.

"It is important to clarify that Caesar took precautions, such as placing a long lead Simon to evaluate their behavior, before making corrections and initial extraction of the belt," Sandasdijo in a statement. "The pig intercepted by Simon was handled then cured quickly and showed no lasting signs of distress."

According to Sandas, Millan "is and will continue to cooperate fully with authorities in any investigation. He is confident that the investigation will show that was doing anything wrong."

This is not the first time that Mr. Millan has been criticized for its behavioral training techniques.

Critics argue that their approach is based on domination and object to some of their techniques, such as their willingness to use choke chains and other physical corrections.
