Despite a close race in the Republican primary in Louisiana, Donald Trump gave a triumphant speech at Saturday's results in Florida club Mar-a-Lago.
"It has really been an amazing night," Trump told his followers. "I've been in competitions all my life and there is nothing as exciting as this."
He thanked the states of Louisiana and Kentucky and fired his second position to compete with Ted Cruz, both in Maine and Kansas. Trump said his campaign spent almost no time in those states, estimating that it was "two hours in one place and two and half hours in the other."
Cruz's victory in Maine, Trump added: "It should be good in Maine, because, let's face :. is very close to Canada"

Now, the advantage of Donald Trump has been reduced to just four points above Ted Cruz, when he started the night with a lead of 25 points.
With 49 percent of the vote in Louisiana to Republican primary, the race is tight and the state becomes even closer.
GOP current favorite Donald Trump now leads Texas Senator Ted Cruz by just six points, 43 percent to 37 percent.
Following a demonstration in Boise, Idaho, Cruz spoke to reporters on results of Saturday's primary.
Cruz said his campaign has now "Trump hit not one, not two, but seven times," adding that his victories represented broad "geographical diversity".
"What we're seeing is the supporters of the many other good people who ran in this race to come and join us, because we are a campaign that hit" the main GOP candidate, Cruz said.

With just over 20 percent of the vote in, Trump has 44 percent of the vote, with Senator Ted Cruz of Texas to 32 percent. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has 15 percent of the vote, while Ohio Governor John Kasich has only 5 percent.
Louisiana will award 46 delegates in the Republican primary race.

Three other states vote on Saturday in the Republican primary race: Kansas, Kentucky and Maine. Saturday States have a total of 155 delegates at stake.
