Boston Dynamics, robotics branch of the alphabet, released a video today (February 23) showing a new version of its Atlas robot in human form. The new model seems to be lighter, quieter and more agile than its predecessor, and to show their skills, he decided to torment the Boston Dynamics robot that only seems designed by hand.
In the video, Atlas was first with his brothers at the headquarters of robots Boston Dynamics. It is smaller and more streamlined than the last version of the Atlas which was widely used in DARPA Robotics Challenge last summer, now coming to a very human size 5 '9 "and 180 pounds. The playful robot is shown walking away from the office company, challenging the Massachusetts winter for a walk in the woods. we have seen earlier versions of Atlas who were able to navigate their way through the forest before, but the new Atlas seems a little unsteady on his feet as if a robot waiter said it was cut, his keys were taken, and said he had to walk home. Atlas never falls, but is very close a few times.
Perhaps this is why disaster creators of Atlas' mercilessly with him later in the video. Maybe it's the day after the drunken rant Atlas' and his co-workers want to return to it. Atlas is working shown, awkwardly, stacking boxes, and just when it seems that the robot had gotten his bearings back, a human being with a hockey stick comes out of nowhere to haunt him.
