Mitch Hedberg fans paid tribute to the late comedian with a donut

Mitch Hedberg, who died in 2005 at age 37, would have turned 48 on Wednesday. A fan pays tribute to the late comedian by placing one donut on his tombstone - along with a receipt, of course.

The donut and reception are a reference to one of the most famous jokes Hedberg, where he ponders why a receipt after buying a donut would be needed. "I can not imagine a scenario that would have to prove that I bought a donut," he says in the bit, which can be seen below.

Reddit user Rexella photo published on the site via Imgur Tuesday, and since then, several fans have flocked to the site to share their favorite jokes Hedberg. See the picture below.
