Emotional vigil in honor of a man killed for being gay

While family and friends mourn the death of Samir Issa, the father of the victim faces justice charged with murder for being homosexual. Here the most recent tragedy.

 A Los Angeles man accused of killing his son shot 29-year-old for being homosexual, had repeatedly threatened to kill him because of his sexual orientation, prosecutors said.

Amir Issa, 29, was found shot dead outside the family home. Days later, authorities in Los Angeles accused of murder Shehada Issa, 69. In addition, researchers are trying to determine responsibility for the death of the mother of Amir, who was found inside the house the same day, police spokesman Officer Mike Lopez said.

The mother, Rabiah Issa, 68-year-old was stabbed, said Coroner David Smith.

Shehada Issa told police he shot in self-defense Amir after he discovered his wife's body in the house.
