"To build the business empire he built, can not always use that kind of tone. I know him, and that could really change the words and the tone '

Melania Trump has said that her husband will change his tone if he is elected President of the United States.

His comments came during an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper in which the host brought up the frequent insults fired among Republican presidential candidates and criticism Donald Trump has received for its tone in the election campaign.

The 69-year-old businessman from New York has been in the news for some of the language and insults that used during debates and rallies.

But Mrs. Trump, 45, insisted he would use a different tone if he was elected to the White House.

"He can really have a different tone, because to build the business empire he built, can not always use that kind of tone. I know him, and that could really change the words and tone."

He added that the followers agreed with her husband because they were "tired of Washington and politicians in Washington [who] do not do much".

"He is a doer," he added.

During the interview that aired on the eve of Super Tuesday, Mrs. Trump recalled the incident in which the Republican candidate for president called his rival, Ted Cruz a "p ****" repeating a word shouted by a woman the crowd in New Hampshire.

Although Mrs. Trump wished he had not repeated, she told her husband "go with the flow".

"It is with the momentum going with the flow, be with people. They have fun, everyone was cheering ... he repeated the word. That was not his word."
"He is a doer," he added.
